The Kelpies Prize for Illustration is a prestigious competition hosted by the renowned Scottish Children's book publisher 'Floris Books' each year.
I was extremely honoured by receiving this award in 2020 with the theme of 'My Scotland'. It holds a special significance to my work which I based on the mythical creatures of Scotland. Much of my inspiration was gathered from growing up in the beautiful West Coast of Scotland surrounded by forests, mountains, seas and local wildlife, I really wanted to capture the magic and mystery of the place.
